There are many organizations and websites that can help you eliminate junk mail, but my favorite is MailStopper (formerly GreenDimes).  At their site you can learn how to eliminate junk mail for free, or, as I did, pay them to do it.  In a few months your mail will be drastically reduced and trees will be planted in your behalf.

On the website they also have a counter showing their results.  Last I checked, they had more than 300,000 participants and have stopped nearly 10 million pounds of junk mail.
